Since joining Megadesign, I have had the opportunity to broaden my professional skills and experience; participating in diverse roles ranging from client liaison to conducting interviews to full site project management. Some of the projects which I have been involved with are listed below:

Position: Architect & Project Architect

Through working with HMA Architects, I had the opportunity to work on multi-million pound projects. Typical schemes include the following:

Refurbishment of Cardiff International Airport.

Project included the phased development of adjoining lands surrounding the airport and the refurbishment of the existing terminal. Through this project I gained invaluable experience in the complex spatial requirements of airport design.

OrganisationColwyn Foulkes & Partners, Wales, UK

Position: Architectural Assistant

Worked on various projects, ranging from a complicated phased hospital refurbishment scheme, to an Information Centre for BHPs' new oil and gas terminal at Talacre on the North Wales Coast. This was a prestigious scheme which involved the conversion of a large agricultural building into a visitor centre. I was fortunate to be given the task of designing the major elements of the building. The design included a planar glazed reception area, which is supported on cable stayed timber trusses.

Position: Architectural Conservation officer

Through this project, I gained the opportunity to develop my knowledge in the field of conservation architecture through direct involvement with a study of a large number of old buildings in the Snowdonia area (built between 1400 and 1841). The assessing and surveying of approximately 1200 buildings allowed me to develop a broad appreciation of the issues involved in extending and integrating old buildings within modern architecture.

Position: Designer and technician (Year out placement)

A unique opportunity to work in the Development Department of one of Ireland's largest retail companies. I developed invaluable skills in many aspects of architecture, ranging from project inception to on-site management of projects of various scale. I was also given the opportunity to work as a clerk of works on site for a period of 2 weeks as part of my year out experience.


	I.T. skills: Having worked with computers since leaving college, I have an excellent knowledge of MS Word, Windows 98, Corel Draw, MS Excel. In terms of CAD skills, I have worked on Microstation and have a good understanding of Release 95. I have worked with AutoCAD R12 and am currently running R14 on my home PC and have a City & Guilds certificate in AutoCAD proficiency. I also have a very good knowledge of MiniCAD 7 working on a Power Apple Macintosh platform and have worked on many 3D presentations, rendering the models through Strata Studio Pro to give very high quality images in a short time. Various part time work: Numerous planning applications for domestic and agricultural constructions Planning and building control application for conversion of a listed barn into a dwelling Set design and construction for an Independent TV company Construction site experience through summer jobs Built three trout fishing lakes Hobbies and interests: I enjoy mountain biking, hill walking and playing badminton. I also love to travel and have been fortunate to be able to experience the delights of South East Asia through working in Singapore. I am fluent in English and Welsh and also have a basic understanding of French. Additional information: I have a full clean UK driving license and also posses a Singapore driving permit.
